Insert it into the slot, ensuring it moves smoothly. Regular cleaning and greasing help maintain function.
Wear booties, and operate the daggerboard handle with care, avoiding sudden force or awkward foot placement. Note that at events and bigger races, packing material will be laying around everwhere, and covering the handle of the daggerboard in bubblewrap is easy on the feet and will allow to navigate and operate the daggerboard for an extended period of time on the water without injury or irritation on your feet.
Yes, its wide platform and daggerboard make it stable and forgiving—ideal for learning.
Use a marine-grade silicone-based lubricant to keep the gasket and daggerboard moving smoothly.
Focus on foot placement, shift weight subtly, and keep the sail steady to prevent over-correction. Keeping the sail sheeted in provides you with a counterweight you can use to keep both your balance and momentum throughout the maneuver.
Use a wide stance, keep the sail powered, and shift feet quickly but smoothly during the transition.
Always wear a PFD, let someone know your location, carry a waterproof phone or radio, and stay within sight of shore.
Ensure the daggerboard is fully down, sheet in properly, and keep the mast raked slightly back.
If the daggerboard sticks, wobbles excessively, or makes noise during use, inspect the gasket and housing for wear.
Yes, the Windsurfer LT is compatible with various sail types, including modern sails, as long as mast diameter and boom fittings match.
Store in a dry, shaded area. Use a board bag for UV protection and avoid trapping moisture inside.
Rinse the mylar sail thoroughly with fresh water and gently wipe with a soft sponge. If needed, use mild soap, and always let the sail dry completely before storage.
Clamp them to the boom about 20–30 cm apart, centered over your balance point when sailing in neutral trim. The balance point is easily found by holding the sail sheeted in with one hand.
